Meeting on the Swiss-Polish Co-operation Programme
On 9th of September 2009 in the principal office of Warsaw Commuter Rail Ltd in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, a meeting was held to discuss specific issues related to the Project Proposal submitted by the Company for co-financing with funds of the Swiss-Polish Co-operation Programme (SPCP).
Decision of the National Co-ordination Unit regarding the WCR Project Outline
On 19th of August 2009 the WCR’s Project Outline titled "Development of the public transport in Warsaw metropolitan area through improvement of the Warsaw Commuter Railway efficiency, reliability and safety" was submitted to the Swiss Party after it had been recommended by the National Co-ordination Unit (the Ministry for Regional Development). The WCR’s Project was among the set of four projects that were submitted for verification carried out by the National Co-ordination Unit after completion of the formal and second merit assessment carried out by the Intermediate Body (the Implementing Authority for European Programmes).
Submission of the Project Outline
On 20th of March 2009 Warsaw Commuter Rail Ltd filed the Project Outline for the operation titled “Development of the public transport in Warsaw metropolitan area through improvement of the Warsaw Commuter Railway efficiency, reliability and safety” with the Office of the Implementing Authority for European Programmes to apply for co-financing with the funds of the Swiss-Polish Co-operation Programme within the framework of the open call for project proposals for the Focus Area “Rehabilitation and modernisation of basic infrastructure and improvement of the environment” – Objective 3 “Improvement of management, safety, efficiency and reliability of local/regional public transport systems”.
